The WILD KINGDOM has a rich, colorful history dating back to the daze of founder Marlin Perkins & his buddy Jim. The Kingdom
moved out of the swamp & hit the beach in the 1970's, a centerpiece of the old school So Cali surf culture in Manhattan
Beach, at the oldest pad in town. This was truly a magical time shaping the attitude & spirit of the Wild Kingdom. Bro
Matt made his first visit with Jim Dunfrund in 1984 as a DJ for KXLU's annual classic SURF DAY IN MAY. In the late yuppified
80's, the pad was bulldozed for progress. Re-established at a historic hide-out in San Pedro, the WILD KINGDOM's "Casual
Existence" philosophy & lifestyle continues to evolve in the face of new 21st century challenges, working hard to
make the world a more fun place to be.
